Classics never fail.

If there is something I cannot deny is how Burberry, and especially the Prorsum line, have been gaining positions in my favourite brands scale due to some fantastic items that I immediately wrote down in my personal list "Item of desire" as soon as I spotted them in the fashion shows (see it here and here)

But the other day I was bored to death at home (while raining cats and dogs outside, must say) surfing the web and I found this Burberry video-ad campaign and I was really surprised when I realised that, appart from fashion, trends and whatever else, classics have something that never ends.

As an illustration, this amazing trench coats with the iconic checks printed in the  lining that, honestly, made my mouth melt.

ITEM OF DESIRE: The Cambridge Satchel Company® bag

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates in the past few days but I have been as busy as a bee with some personal stuff related with my new job.

As I am going to start my professional career in a fortnight more or less I have been thinking about what am I going to need for being prepared for my new 'way of life' so I thought that a worker bag will be required as soon as posible in order to face the long working days out of home.

It just took me 5 seconds to decide that one of my early purchases with my first wage should be a satchel from The Cambridge Satchel Company®, so I switched on my laptop and I entered the official website (link above) to see what they have for me.

I think I will get one of them in a dark, sober and professional color like navy blue, black or brown but I was quite surprised when I saw these fluor-coloured ones or the new 'batchel' which is a bit wider than the original satchel and with an upper handle, but as functional as the first one.

So now that the decision has been made it will just be a matter of time to spot me on my way to job with a satchel hanging on my shoulder.

ITEM OF DESIRE: Platform shoes

I think it all started back in the 50's when the Teddy Boys added the so called 'brothel creepers' to his more than imitated look. This type of shoe regained popularity in the early 1970s when they were worn by people as Malcolm McLaren or Vivienne Westwood.

But it has been quite later and due to Prada S/S11 colection when the platform shoe became a clearly object of desire for all kind of fashionistas, bloggers and trend lovers. It was just like a boom and everybody had the craving of owning a pair.

Later on, during London Fashion Week, we all felt in love at first sight once again when those Burberry platform loafers hit the catwalk in the F/W11 show, and then I suddenly realised that we all needed something similar to feel less anxious and why not, a bit taller.

So, after a long research I found this "wannabe" at Zara website and I have to recognise that eventhough they are not the same, they are quite more affordable for my budget and I have been using them ever since I bought them and feeling a little bit more trendy for a while.
